sex, sleep togetherAs a woman, you want to feel sexy.  We all do!  But do you?

Many women feel sexy no matter what.  Whether they’re in shape, overweight, perfectly coifed or in need of a touch up, it doesn’t seem to make a difference.  What makes them feel sexy isn’t necessarily how they look on the outside but rather how they feel on the inside, so to them, carrying around a few extra pounds can be neither here nor there.

But that’s not how it is for everyone.

We all want to love our bodies just the way they are.  In fact, [bctt tweet=”loving your body and who you are take precedence over weight loss.”] You'll never get to the right weight if you’re constantly hating yourself and how you look.  Energetically speaking, love and hate are two opposing forces that simply cannot exist side by side, so self-love is step one to losing weight.

Feeling sexy though, and ultimately having sex, is another story.  Some people just do not feel sexy, and avoid having sex as a result, if they can barely stand to see themselves naked, are ashamed of their body, and do their best to cover it up.

Typically if you don’t want to see yourself naked, you don’t want anyone else to either, which quite obviously effects your sex life!  And you may never get your sexy back unless you get your body back first.

Sex is a great way to exercise, ease stress, feel more intimate, even lower your risk of heart attack and cancer. But if you’re not feeling it, because of how you feel about yourself and how you look, you’ll neglect to experience it’s life-enhancing benefits.

Which will leave a definite deficit in your overall quality of life.

Sex is an important component to any intimate relationship.  Humans are designed to have sex, and not just to reproduce.  Sex feels great, and since our natural, normal state is joy, not negativity, depression or anxiety, anything as natural as sex that enhances how we’re supposed to feel is something we should do often!

Which is why it’s vitally important to end binge eating disorder, compulsive eating, overeating, and any other form of emotional eating, so that you lose weight naturally, and naturally feel sexy.

Not only does being naturally thin feel good too, but it allows your body to move more naturally, more in sync with your partner, free of cumbersome and awkward moments that are not only embarrassing but distract you from fully enjoying the intimacy of being with another human being in the most physically intimate way possible.

Everyone – married or single, gay or straight – wants and needs love and connection.  It’s a basic human need that cannot be ignored.  Period.  Lack of intimacy, or connection, is a major factor in driving binge eating behavior and causes you to turn to food for love, something which food can never give you.

Moreover, weight that’s intended to hide you because you’re afraid to be yourself, afraid you can’t protect yourself without it, afraid of predators or criticism, is exactly what will keep you from the intimacy you crave the most.

You’ll never feel sexy, and therefore be sexually intimate, and ultimately deny yourself the very feeling you can’t live without, when your weight serves as a barrier to having it.

Plus, regular sex strengthens the pelvic floor which weakens as you age, whereas a strong pelvic floor makes your bladder stronger, helping avoid urinary incontinence (another side effect from aging) and makes it easier to achieve orgasm!

Feeling sexy comes from within no matter what you weigh, but often times when you’re overweight, feeling sexy is the last thing you feel, and if you don’t feel sexy, you don’t want sex, which interferes with having healthy, satisfying relationships and leaves you feeling isolated, disconnected and unloved.

Start by identifying what your 3 main eating drivers are to break your emotional eating patterns and reverse your weight, which will not only help improve self-image, but your sex life and feeling sexy too!
